Doping Scandal Interview with Pettitte
I found Andy Pettitte's press conference to be played very safe, but respectable. He's taking a lot of heat from the press for keeping it vaugue, but I think that it is justified. How can anybody expect him to open up and give a underoath-like-testimony to the press while two of his friends are currently battling in a court of law? Who in their right mind would spill such sensitive issues to the press? He was lucky enough to be excused from testifying in court, he's obviously not looking to get involved. It's not fair to put a man in such a position. Either way, he's going to lose a good friend due to this scandal, and it's unfortunate, but at least give the guy a break, and don't beat up on him for not 'snitching'.
Presidential Race
In this post, I'm going to stray slightly from my beat, and venture into the world of politics. I'm very interested in this current race, likely because it is the first time I'll be able to vote, but also because it is a particularly exciting race. Americans now have the option to make history; to elect either the first african-american or the first woman to office. Although many people are unaware of this, we will still make history even if McCain is elected. He would be the oldest president, by 3 years, to take office. Each of the candidates offer a great range of possibility, and I am looking very foward to this coming November.
